BACI represents a partnership between UniSQ and the Queensland Government Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, aimed at advancing Queensland's broadacre grains research, development, and extension (RD&E). Broadacre Cropping Initiative (BACI) approached Black Canvas for comprehensive branding, including logo design, stationery, pull-up banners, and report design. The BACI logo features a typographic design with a font that is both modern and easily readable. The ‘i’ is highlighted with a rounded corner that forms a ‘leaf,’ symbolising growth, prosperity, and a forward vision. The branding incorporates dynamic crop lines, representing energy, vitality, and future direction. This design approach gives BACI a memorable and approachable identity. Research undertaken through the BACI partnership has resulted in significant direct industry impact along with building new capacity and capabilities to assist the Queensland broadacre cropping industries.
